With a low unemployment rate and a declining job seeker pool, 2017 is a year where job applicants are driving the job market. Qualified candidates know they have more power in the hiring process and as a result, employers must adapt to not only acquire their most desired talent, but to also keep them at their organization for more than two years.

The Execu | Search Group released a report, “Hiring Outlook: Strategies for Engaging With Today’s Talent and Improving the Candidate Experience.” They surveyed 1,000 job seekers over a variety of industries and found that 50% of employees only plan to stay at their current company for two years or less; 48% of employees believe younger employees are not encouraged to pursue leadership positions in their company; and 45% of employees believe their interviewer did not make and effort to convey the company culture during their interview process.

Hunt Scanlon Media highlighted Execu | Search’s recommendations to employers. Overall – be transparent. Employers need to do a better job at communicating their culture to prospects. Talent needs to know that they are going to fit in. They want to know that they will have to opportunity to grow within the organization; they will be supported in their career development; and they will be respected enough to eventually become a leader.

When you find that perfect candidate, streamline and simply the process hiring process with SINGLEForm. Your organization will know that your candidate’s paperwork is 100% compliant and your candidate will appreciate the brevity and ease of the hiring process.
